I have loved the band Switchfoot since my sophomore year in college.

By listening to Pandora, I recently discovered that I love songs by Jon Foreman. (Check out his songs, he's good)

This weekend, I finally put two and two together and realized that Jon Foreman is the lead singer of Switchfoot.

It all makes sense now.

What's your most embarrassing moment? I never used to have a good story to answer that question. Well, I now have an official most embarrassing moment. And it happened on Easter Sunday of all days... I was gonna type out the story here, but we all know once something is on the Internet, it's always on the Internet. So if you're really curious, email me. Else, just laugh at your own embarrassing moment and remember that you have your whole life ahead of you to top that one off.

A New Worship Podcast

Whataweekend

This weekend, I went to a Chris Tomlin concert and LOVED it! It took me back to my college days, when Chris led worship at Breakaway each Tuesday. At the concert, I couldn't help but think about how much Chris' life has changed since those days in College Station, and how much my own life has changed since then! Maybe I *AM* growing up! GASP!

Anyways, I love how Chris shares the stories behind his songs. He only shared a few at this concert, but they were powerful. I always really liked his new song "God of This City", but after hearing how that song came into existence, I absolutely love it. I was going to write out the story, but I found this video of Chris telling it, so you have to listen to him tell the story. Amazing, huh? The lyrics are so powerful, especially when you picture them being sung in a brothel in Thailand:

But without a doubt, my favorite song of the night was "All The Way My Savior Leads Me". Listen to it here. It is based on the hymn written by Fanny Crosby, who wrote many a hymn, including "Blessed Assurance".

I finished out the weekend by enjoying the St. Pete nightlife, soaking in the Honda Grand Prix Indy Car race, and being a beach bum with my friend Jess. Why can't all weekends be like this one?!?
