My roommie took me to a Stephen Curtis Chapman concert for my birthday, and we had a great time. He sang a song with a message that stuck in my head, so I looked up the lyrics when I got home:

Can you imagine how it must have felt to be one of Cortez's people and watch the ships you came to a foreign land on burn up, on purpose, thereby eliminating your chances of returning back to where you came from, back to your comfort zone? How many times do we try to go back or look back, instead of forging full steam ahead with Christ who goes before us? How often do we hold on to our old selves, instead of remembering that we are a new creation and that God has great plans in store for His children? "The BEST is yet to come!"
